Vast Arts

New Project Officer

Feb 7, 2012

Welcome to our new Project Officer—Nicole Harper from Mungallala!!

Vast Arts welcomes NICOLE HARPER to the Vast Arts Team! Nicole hails from Mungallala and brings a wealth of experience to the role. Nicole has an active interest and participation in art, having recently completed a week at the McGregor Summer School.

The laptop and office essentials have been way laid in Toowoomba during the office transition, so not much is able to be completed at present. Nicole lives out of town and has been stranded for the last 2 weeks—our thoughts are with everyone who have been affected by the flooding throughout Queensland.

So please be patient!  In the meantime, Facebook, Twitter and website updates will be maintained and emails will be answered.

Nicole has attended workshops with Catherine Parker, Bill Morton and Cezary Stulgis (sculpture). She has had several successful shows, the most recent a solo exhibition in March 2011 where a majority of the works were sold.

Nicole has had entries and sold work in several competitions and art shows including Blackall Heartland Art Exhibition, In Focus Photography Competition Surat, Snap Photography Competition Mitchell, Qld Regional Art Awards, Landmark Art Show Mitchell, Out of the Blue Charity Art Auction Mitchell and local shows. Nicole is currently the President of Friends of Mitchell on Maranoa Gallery Committee and Secretary of Mitchell Arts Council.

Nicole’s husband manages a cattle station in SWQ where she lives with their three boys. Nicole has a diverse background, from stud groom and horseback tour guide to working in administration and recruitment. Nicole enjoys cooking and photography as well as drawing and painting.

You can find Nicole on FACEBOOK or at her WEBSITE.
